The climax in the novel The Westing Game is when Sandy McSouthers dies in front of the six heirs. Through Turtle Wexler and Judge Ford, the other heirs find out sandy was actually Sam Westing. Crow his ex wife, died of a heart attack, thus freeing Crow of any blame.
Cameron:
The Climax of the Christopher Killer is when Cameryn finds out that the killer of Rachel is the person she was gaining information from. Dr. Jewel. Dr. Jewel used his rental car in a different state to confirm where he was located, which put him away from the scene of the murder, but while Cameryn was searching his room, Dr. Jewel revealed on the phone that he created a plot to leave his rental car in a different state so that he was unable to be traced. While he was talking to the rental company, Cameryns' phone rang and she was revealed. Luckily help came in time before Dr. Jewel could kill her.

Josh:
In the book, Code Talker, the climax of the book is when the code talkers are finally put in a real war situation to test the skills they were trained for. Ned was sent in a landing boat to be put into battle for the first time at the Guadalcanal. Their mission was to storm and invade Blue Beach which was occupied by the Japanese. Unfortunately, there were too many casualties among the U.S. soldiers, despite the fact they did not even see a single Japanese soldier.

Jake:
The climax of the book night hoops is in the second to last basketball game when Nick About is playing point guard and he is teamed up with Trent Dawson, and they go on a scoring rampage and they totally crush the other team. After the game, everyone congratulated Trent, Nick, and they felt much better then everyone.

David:
The climax of the book, The Hobbit, is after Bard reviles that he has the Arkenstone. Thorin becomes frustrated with Bilbo when he sees that Bard has it. Bilbo explained that as his contract as the "Burglar," he gave the Lake Town people his part of the share. Thorin, forced into agreeing, offers to pay a fourteenth of the treasure to regain the Arkenstone. Secretly, Thorin is hoping that his army can make it down to the battlefield before they trade to capture the stone. The dwarf army reaches the camp and begin to threaten the elves and the men for the stone. Gandalf informs them that a new danger is coming. The Goblins and Wargs have found out about the treasure and intend to take it for themselves.

Josh:
In the book, Code Talker, the protagonists of the book would be the United States, including Ned, the Navajo Code Talkers, and the rest of the men in the military. The United States are fighting in World War II, and they have Navajo Code Talkers to help them, including Ned. The Japanese, the antagonists, are the people who would try to figure out what the U.S. was saying when the were sending messages in Navajo. Since the Japanese did not recognize the Navajo language, they had no idea what was being said by the U.S. military.

Cameron:
The protagonist of The Christopher Killer is a young girl named Rachel. Rachel is a good friend of Cameryn and a fellow worker at the grand hotel. But when Rachel is brutally murdered, she gives Cameryn hope that she can solve the killer. When Cameryn starts on her case and autopsy, she hits a dead end with the doctor and is kicked out of the room. So she turns to an alternative of going to Dr. Jewel

Jake:
The protagonist of Night Hoops is a the main character Nick Abbout. Nick loves to play basketball, and he has a court in his backyard. Even though the building of the court was one of the reasons his dad divorced his mom. Nick goes to join the high school basketball team, but he sees Trent Dawson there. Trent is the antagonist whose family doesnt care for him much, because he doesnt have a real father, his mom just has had lots of boyfriends. Trent is a mean kid who is in trouble with the law because of his brother Zach. Zach was a real bad guy he had always had a gun but no bullets and the one day he got some he accidently shot a kid. So the cops think that Trent was in on it but soon they will relize that Nick is taking the side of Trent.

David:
In the Book The Hobbit, the protagonist is Bilbo Baggins. Bilbo must help a company of dwarves (Thorin & Company) and a wizard named Gandolf defeat Smog (The antagonist). Smog is an evil dragon who destroyed the dwarves home and stole all there gold. Smog is big, evil, and a dragon while Bilbo is small, good, and a hobbit.

Jaxon:
In the book The Westing Games the protagonists are all six of the people who were asked to solve the mystery of who took Samuel Westing's life. These people are most aware of the truth and what is right. The antagonist is Samuel Westing who created his will as a game for selected people to solve his mystery and that will regulate who inherits his great fortune.

Entry 3

Cameron:
An example of foreshadowing is when the new deputy (Justin) confronts the main character (Cameryn). On her first case, Cameryn cannot control her emotions and in the middle of the analysis she runs out of the room behind the building. After her stomach is empty she is met by Justin, who gives her strange clues about a messenger and that often the messenger is killed...Later in the book Justin turns out to be a messenger from Cameryn's mom who abandoned her when she was just a child. Justin came to Cameryn with a note and a gift from Hannah Mahoney. She doesnt open the gift or the letter until the end of the book, and when she does she reveals the truth about why Hannah left.

Jake:
In the beginning of the book Night Hoops Nick was playing a basketball game with the worst kid in the town, Trent Dawson. He is a cheating little nasty kid, who has an even worse brother. I think this foreshadows the fact that in the book later on Trent and Nick become Friends and play together on a daily basis.

Jaxon:
In the beginning of the Westing Games, there is a selected group of people living in the Sunset Tower Apartments owned by the Westing Estate. This leads me to believe that the story is foreshadowing how one of the individuals living in Sunset Towers is going to inherit the 200 million dollar fortune and have the opportunity of moving into the Westing mansion.

David:
In the book, The Hobbit, Bilbo and the dwarfs (Thorin & Company) have to camp in a dark, creepy, and damp (from all the rain) place in the middle of nowhere. In the morning, the dwarfs see a light off in the distant. Due to the dark environment around them and the fact that Gandalf is missing, this may foreshadow that the light might be some evil things waiting for them.

Josh:
In the book, Code Talker, Ned and the group of Navajos were sent to a place in Hawaii to train with the other Marines during World War II. The Navajos were separated from the other Marines and taken to a secret room. In the room, there were Marines who made the Navajos translate their language to English. This may have foreshadowed what the Navajos' role might be during World War II, and that role was to provide a code for the US to send messages.

Grant:
In Peak, after Josh takes most of the climbers up to camp ABC and two of the campers get the illness HAPE, Peak starts having seconds thoughts about making it to the top when the climb up to ABC was hard and that is not even halfway. I think that this is foreshadowing that one of the climbers might not make it all the way to the top.
