Entry 5

Jaxon:
The climax in the novel The Westing Game is when Sandy McSouthers dies in front of the six heirs. Through Turtle Wexler and Judge Ford, the other heirs find out sandy was actually Sam Westing. Crow his ex wife, died of a heart attack, thus freeing Crow of any blame.
Cameron:
The Climax of the Christopher Killer is when Cameryn finds out that the killer of Rachel is the person she was gaining information from. Dr. Jewel. Dr. Jewel used his rental car in a different state to confirm where he was located, which put him away from the scene of the murder, but while Cameryn was searching his room, Dr. Jewel revealed on the phone that he created a plot to leave his rental car in a different state so that he was unable to be traced. While he was talking to the rental company, Cameryns' phone rang and she was revealed. Luckily help came in time before Dr. Jewel could kill her.


Josh:
In the book, Code Talker, the climax of the book is when the code talkers are finally put in a real war situation to test the skills they were trained for. Ned was sent in a landing boat to be put into battle for the first time at the Guadalcanal. Their mission was to storm and invade Blue Beach which was occupied by the Japanese. Unfortunately, there were too many casualties among the U.S. soldiers, despite the fact they did not even see a single Japanese soldier.

Jake:
The climax of the book night hoops is in the second to last basketball game when Nick About is playing point guard and he is teamed up with Trent Dawson, and they go on a scoring rampage and they totally crush the other team. After the game, everyone congratulated Trent, Nick, and they felt much better then everyone.

David:
The climax of the book, The Hobbit, is after Bard reviles that he has the Arkenstone. Thorin becomes frustrated with Bilbo when he sees that Bard has it. Bilbo explained that as his contract as the "Burglar," he gave the Lake Town people his part of the share. Thorin, forced into agreeing, offers to pay a fourteenth of the treasure to regain the Arkenstone. Secretly, Thorin is hoping that his army can make it down to the battlefield before they trade to capture the stone. The dwarf army reaches the camp and begin to threaten the elves and the men for the stone. Gandalf informs them that a new danger is coming. The Goblins and Wargs have found out about the treasure and intend to take it for themselves.
